- Team Group has launched its portable SSD Expert P34F Create P34F
- It offers a follow -up of the location via the search for my apple application and an alarm
- The P34F should be put up for sale very soon
If you have already lost an SSD or an external USB stick – perhaps containing vital, even sensitive data, you will know that this can be a traumatic experience, and a new portable reader could end such anxiety around poorly placed equipment.
TechPowerUP reports that Team Group officially launched the expert T-Create P34F, which is a first world in terms of portable SSD which is followed by the integrated location.
The functionality works via search for my apple application, and the reader can be associated with apple devices supported for the tracking functionality, which means the best Mac, iPhones or iPads.
The P34F can be located using the said end, and the reader also has an internal speaker which allows it to ring an alarm which is audible in a 40 m range.
The SSD is available in 512 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB of capacities and has an elegant design, weighing 70 g with a size of 81 x 43 mm and a thickness of 16.5 mm. It has a metal finish and is made from a 73%zinc alloy, and offers transfer speeds up to 1,000 MB / s for readings and 900 MB / s for the entries.
Although Team Group says that the reader has now been released and that the P34F is live on his website, he has not yet appeared in retailers – probably this is about to happen. We don’t have a confirmed price yet either, but we know that the SSD has a three -year warranty.
Analysis: Portability and security
Note that only the follow -up capacity is linked to the Apple ecosystem, and you can of course use this portable SSD with other devices, including Windows PCs. It has a USB-C connector and supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Thunderbolt connectivity.
It is an intelligent idea to have this integrated monitoring system, especially on such a small training. The P34F is smaller than a credit card, in fact, and with this type of diminutive equipment, it is not difficult to place or accidentally leave the device somewhere.
At least, if this happens, you have a chance to fight to recover this external SSD, especially since it has this audible alarm to locate the reader when you know it is nearby. And it could be an absolute lifeline if you store sensitive data on the P34F – not that you have to store such data on everything that is portable and potentially easily lost, of course, but people always do it.
