CBS announced that Watt would be a color commentator for matches from the 2025 season.

“There is nothing better than the energy and the excitement of being in the stadium on the day of the match in the NFL,” he said in a statement earlier this year. “I could not let the opportunity to go back to this atmosphere every week, working with one of Ian’s best. Although I certainly lack successes on the field, it will be good to leave the stadium without taking it, unless I have decided to try something crazy.”

Watt played 12 years in the NFL between the Texans of Houston and the Cardinals of Arizona. He had 114.5 bags and won the defensive player of the year three times.
