Due to heavy monsoon rains, the Thado dam located in the city of Gadap has overflowed. The flood waters have submerged the Super Highway (M-9 motorway), considerably affecting the traffic flow. Following reports of rickshaws and van carried by the solid current and the water entering the residential houses, the 1622 rescue teams and Edhi Marine Services quickly arrived on the scene.

In the city of Saadi, 10 people trapped in the water were saved by Rescue 1122 in collaboration with the Pakistani army, according to the spokesperson for Rescue 1122. Deputy Commissioner East and Deputy Commissioner Malir have personally supervised rescue efforts.
In the Keamari district, rescue operations were also carried out with the help of income and police services. Under the direction of deputy commissioner Keamari Madiha Narejo, 100 people were safely moved.
Two individuals were trapped in a wave of flooding in the Lyari river near the Super store Imtiaz in Gulshan-E-Iqbal. After receiving the report, a 1122 rescue team quickly reached the location.
