Lahore:
On Wednesday, the nephew of Pti Patron-in-Chief Imran Khan, Hassaan Khan Niazi, challenged in the LHC his detention by the military, the martial procedure of the Court against him and the jurisdiction of the military court.
In 2023, Niazi was placed in military custody to face his trial for his alleged role in the riots of May 9 at the Jinnah house in Lahore. In December, he received a 10 -year sentence of rigorous imprisonment.
On Wednesday, Niazi asked for the LHC through his lawyer Faisal Siddiqui arguing that after his arrest in the case on May 9, he was never produced before a civil court.
