Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, offered an overview of the future of Far from there Series, revealing that it will be more focused on multiplayer in the future.
During the new World Sports Conference in Saudi Arabia (via Gamefile and VGC), Guillemot was questioned about the future of the long -term series and teased what the next entry might look like.
He said the goal ” Far from there [is] Really to bring more mainly advanced multiplayer aspects, so that it can also be played for a long time by players. “”
Guillemot’s comments aligned with a October 2021 report following the publication of FAR CRAURE 6where it was said that Far Cry 7 would take the series in a completely different direction by “exploring an approach more focused on online lines” for the next game.
In January 2023, it was reported that Aubisoft worked on two Far from there games, a being Far Cry 7 And the second an autonomous multiplayer spin-off.
At the time, Kotaku wrote that Guillemot mentioned both these potential games at an internal business meeting and that Aubisoft apparently goes from the Dunia engine to Snowdrop for the new games, the engine behind The division Games and Star Wars Outlaws.
Ubisoft has not yet officially announced its next Far from there Game, but given the recent comments from the CEO, it is likely that the future of the popular shooting series will be very different from what we know.
