LHC is looking for a Govt answer on the advocacy of Imran Nephew

Lahore:

The High Court of Lahore (LHC) asked for arguments from the federal government on the objections raised by the office of the Court registrar on a plea deposited by Hassan Niazi, a nephew of the former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was sentenced to ten years in prison in a case of May 9.

Hassan, who was tried by a military court for his involvement in acts of vandalism following the arrest of Imran Khan on May 9, 2023, approached the LHC through a lawyer for Faisal Siddiqi contesting his transfer to the army as well as the test by the military authorities.

A division bench including judge Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi and Judge Tariq Mehmood Bajwa heard the plea and gave an opinion to the federal government for September 16 to combat functions of functions.

The LHC Registrar Office has raised objections to the petition so as not to annex a certified copy of the commander’s order with the file and not to approach the appropriate forum.

The petitioner’s lawyer argued that after the arrest of his client in the Jinnah House attack case, he was never produced before an anti -terrorist court (ATC) or other civil courts.
