A few kilometers from Ground Zero, Trump received a mainly positive ovation of more than 40,000 people at the Yankee Stadium. However, the crowd was able to overcome the differences for several songs “USA” throughout the night.
“It was a great evening. Significant,” said the journalist Aaron Boone after the match. “Captain [Aaron Judge] I just talked about it, just make us all aligned together, first for the moment of silence, then back there for the anthem, and just this buzz that New York can create, you have definitely felt it tonight. Obviously, the president being here, just an additional layer. September baseball against a very good club. A special evening to be part of us, and I hope that none of us took it for granted. “”
Trump met the Yankees in the clubhouse and called the “fantastic player” judge. The AL title MVP (and the favorite to win again this year) responded by surrounding a home run in each of its first two at-bat and by linking Joe Dimaggio for the fourth place on the list of Home Runs of Yankees.

But the skipper sounded as if the wait was worth it.
“It was great. I was there with Carlos [Rodon] and Gerrit [Cole] When he entered the doors of our clubhouse. It’s a bit intimidating, you are a little nervous, but it was great, “said Boone.” He is super in this context, really kind, took photos, hugged his hand. And then we entered the main area where the players were, and they were able to greet him.
