Foundation The star Lou Llobell revealed that she had no idea of reimagination by the program of a great revelation concerning the mule.
Before Foundation Season 3 of episode 10 made its Apple TV + debut today (September 12), I sat with Llobell to discuss the last final in the series, entitled “ The Darkness ”, including this extremely surprising moment on the main villain of this season.

One of the biggest questions about Foundation Season 3 was whether the shock reveals the real identity of the mule would take place in the same way in Apple’s television adaptation as in books. As I discussed in an article on Foundation Season 3 Newcomer Magnifico Giganticus, this weak and shy individual is finally proving to be the mule in the source material.
FoundationThe story of television adopts a different approach – the one I expect to be controversial among the longtime fans of the works of Asimov – to this great revelation. Indeed, as I cover my Foundation Explained play in season 3, Bayta Mallow is apparently revealed as the real mule.
It’s a blind side that was selected Foundationis sunk for a while. Llobell told me that nobody knew that Bayta was the mule until they receive the script from season 3 final, that they did not obtain until “darkness” is not filmed.
“All the scenes have been nourished,” admitted Llobell. “But, it was always a shock for me because, even if I knew there was a form of revelation, I did not know that would be it.
“I think people will go back, look at this season and will be” it makes sense “”, she continued. “I also think that it is great that it stands out from source material. It is important, otherwise people who have read the books will know what is coming, so I think it is interesting to adapt it in an interesting way for television.”
In an interview with radiootimes.com, Synnøve Karlsen, who plays Bayta, also opened the Grand Reveal.
“Knowing that there was this twist that was going to come, it made her even more an exciting character,” said Karlsen. “I think that it can detach itself slightly thoughtless or negligent at the beginning, so once I discovered this, it was such an exciting element for me.
“I think they [the show’s creators] wanted to overthrow him, “she thought about Bayta being the mule instead of Magnifico.” I think it’s just interesting that she is a woman, and I guess there is something to change something from the original to surprise people [and] Keep people on their guard. “”
As I mentioned earlier, however, some viewers may not react positively to this change in one of the best Apple TV +programs. Llobell agrees that there will be strong reactions to this revelation, but she thinks that debating the changes that the science fiction series does better than better than not being discussed at all.
“In the end, we are storytellers,” she said. “We take source material and create something new. My character [Gaal Dornick] It would not have existed so long if we do not entertain in books, so I am very grateful for that.
“I understand that some people might feel bitter about it,” she added that Bayta was the mule. “But, this is a very good reaction to have. It causes a conversation and that is what we aim to do. We want people to have a reaction, whether good or bad, and then talk about it with other fans.”
That said, I still think Magnifico is the mule. I enter this theory in more detail in season 3 aforementioned which puts an end to the explanator, then read that if you are curious to know why I feel that.
“I don’t know,” replied Llobell with an ironic smile when I proposed this notion. “I saw no script [for a potential fourth season]But it would be an interesting socket. “”
