David Jason returns to his famous character of Sitcom Granville de Open every hour For the last time.
The 85 -year -old actor confirmed his return for the emblematic British sitcom before his 50th anniversary.
“It’s so good to be back! I played in Granville for more than half of my life and therefore this show occupies a very special place in my heart,” said Jason in a statement.
“There are countless memories and stories about this show, and I am delighted to be able to share them with everyone.”
Confirmation came while U & Gold announced a 90 -minute special entitled Open every hour: upside down—A retrospective which will explore the success of the original series of 1976-1985 and its suite Always open every hour (2014-2019), including behind the scenes and interviews with Cast and Crew.
Mark Iddon, senior editor -in -chief for U & Gold, called the “Joy” project, adding, “Open every hour is one of those rare animals which, even after 50 years, is always as timeless and relevant as ever. I can’t wait for you and the gold to see what we have prepared for them. »»

The Anniversary Special will also present a brand new scene featuring Sir David as Granville, and written by the writer and Creator Original Roy Clarke.
The scene will see Granville close its Doncaster grocery store for the night and think about how life has changed over the years.
