The Chicago Cubs piloted the American flag for half a stuff for Friday’s home match against the Rays of Tampa Bay in honor of a conservative activist Charlie Kirk, which was assassinated during an event on campus in UTAH on Wednesday.

In a statement to PK Press Club Digital Thursday, the League confirmed that it “had asked all clubs to follow the management of the presidential proclamation of the White House and to steal flags at half of the staff in their ball game”.

The proclamation of the White House ordered that the flags are half stolen from the staff until sunset on Sunday. In addition to the flag, Tyler Bowyer, the chief of the USA turning point, reported “The Charlie Kirk Show” that the Cubs “recognize” Kirk in one way or another during the match.

“He loved the cubs,” added Andrew Kolvet, spokesperson for Turnout Point USA. “Her grandmother was a fan of cubs for life and she could see Cubs Win the World Series and then Died. “”

The Cubs broke a 108-year-old drought when they beat Cleveland in seven games to win the World Series 2016. Kirk shared a photo on X of him and his grandmother celebrating the team’s victory at the time.

“We are grateful that after 108 years, Cubs are world champions,” he wrote in an article on Thanksgiving Day.
In March, Kirk shared another photo of his family in a Cubs match.
The Cubs stole the flag in half of the staff, but did not last a moment of silence as the New York Yankees did it Wednesday evening for Kirk.
Police confirmed on Friday That a suspect in Kirk’s murder was arrested. He was identified as Tyler Robinson, a 22 -year -old Utah resident. Utah governor Spencer Cox said that Robinson’s family member contacted a family friend who then contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s office “with information that Robinson had confessed to them or hinted that he had committed the incident.”
