Druckmann confirming that his continuous involvement is excellent news for the show, and I hope it means that his third chapter will remain in good hands.
Addressing Variety, Druckmann said: “My hope for season three, and what I would like to think that I can help it is to make sure that it is as deeply faithful as the first season.”
He added: “Because I have the impression that it is the gold stallion of this kind of adaptation, while taking advantage of all these beautiful extensions which occur naturally with the rest of the team and how they work on season three. This is where my involvement will remain at this very, very high level.”
Eliminating a certain confusion about the reason why he left as a co-showrunner, Druckmann added: “I had the impression of better serving all my responsibilities if I stayed at a higher level. It was quite difficult to be as involved as a co-showrunner on season 1 and season 2, while directing a studio and working and writing and writing a game.”
