Panjnad struck by an extremely high flood

On Friday, the provincial Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported an extremely high flood in Panjnad, where the water flow reached 679,000 CUSECs, while the flows of the river upstream of the head of the head gradually returned to normal.

The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has confirmed that an exceptionally high flood in Panjnad, an average flood at the Guddu and Sukkur dams on the Indus. He said Guddu could face a very high flood within 48 hours.

The Sutlej in Sulemanki and Islam Headworks is experiencing average floods, said the FFC, adding that a strong flood is observed in Sidhnai on the Ravi. The PDMA said that the delighted flow is recorded at 69,000 brackets with a high flood.

The Sutlej of Ganda Singh Wala recorded 78,000 brackets and 2,102,000 brackets, both classified as medium floods. The Chenab in Marala and Qadirabad, as well as Khanki and Trimmu, was reported at normal levels.

In Shahdara on the Ravi, the flows were located at 31,000 brackets within safe limits, while Bloki Headworks recorded 57,000 bracs with a low flood. The officials said that the services had remained on alert under the directives of the chief minister of Punjab, with resources mobilized to protect lives and property.

The PDMA noted that the river flows through the Punjab gradually returned to normal because the rains in the upper watersheds had stopped.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Water Resources said that the Tarbela dam has been 100% since August 27, while the mangla dam is 93% full with six storage feet available. The ministry has asked the provinces to prepare the evaluations of damage caused by floods.
