Tiktok’s parent company, Bytedance, has published a new IA images generator – and it’s so real that I no longer have any idea of what is wrong.
In fact, the new model of AI, Seedream 4.0, is better than Google’s last offer, Nano Banana, who has taken the internet storm in recent weeks – we have jumped on the last craze for the image to put it to the test.
The artificial analysis of the AI, artificial analysis shared new results which show that Seedream 4.0 is “a new model of leading image both on the text of the artificial analysis towards the image and image mounting arena, going beyond the GEMINI 2.5 flash of Google (nano banana), on the two!”
Benchmark offers images against each other and asks users to decide which one is the best, without knowing which model of AI has generated them. Seedream 4.0 is at the top of the ranking with an ELO of 1,205, slightly exceeding Nano Banana with 1 201.
Seedream 4.0 is currently available via AI platforms such as Fal.ai, reproduce and directly from Bytedance herself. Currently, the image generation model costs $ 30 for 1,000 images.
The images created by the AI model are so realistic that it is almost impossible to say whether they are false or not. In fact, a Reddit user shared his images generated from Seedream 4.0, and the results are really terrifying.

What is real?
Normally, when I see an image of AI on social networks, I can say immediately that it is not real – and even if it looks incredibly realistic, there is a feeling of “ strange valley ” that I simply cannot shake.
Below, you can see a range of photos created by Seedream 4.0 and shared on Reddit by the User Thatunkownuser2465. When I look at the images, I have no feeling of uncertainty – they look real.
Obviously, the prompts used intelligent techniques to try to deceive the eye of the mind, such as the grain image or the fun filters, but I am not sure that I would even think twice if I saw one of these on social networks – and that scares me.
