Microsoft now deploys URL monitoring between teams to help eliminate malware on the platform, automatically alerting users when private or group messages contain questionable links.
Society says it covers things like spam, phishing or malware, and that it should be officially with us by November.
The functionality was disclosed for the first time in a roadmap entrance in August 2025, under the “Malvent URL protection for cat and canals teams”.

Followed under ID 499893, it has now been published in the form of public preview on Android, Desktop, iOS and web of team instances, with general availability scheduled for November.
Sender will see a warning if they share a harmful URL, with generic details or warnings and the modification option or delete messages. End users will see clear warnings before interacting.
The functionality works by scanning all the URLs compared to the databases of the intelligence of Microsoft threats and operates on internal and external messages.
Users can oppose via the administration center under messaging parameters during the public preview phase. The function will be activated by default once generally available. Administrators can always deactivate it from the administration center or using PowerShell.

With around 320 m and monthly active users, Microsoft always applies updates to the team experience to ensure that hybrid workers remain committed. Roadmap entries relating to this software alone total 72 in development and 98 in their deployment stage, including many co -pilot additions to increase efficiency.
