Ncuti Gatwa was left “burned” by Doctor Who.

The 32 -year -old actor left the popular show after only two seasons depicting the 15th doctor and he explained that he had “fought” by making the decision to leave because he “loved” the program but thought he had to take leave.

“I was tired and exhausted at the end of the two series. It was exhausting. But it was a magical, magical period,” he said Telegraph review.

He continued: “There has never been the opportunity to recover the energy – it’s just going, going, going. I was doing seven days for eight months, and I had a hard time being far from my home and the family. ”

“I had already shot Cardiff for five years (on and out) before that with sex education, and we started to shoot Doctor Who when I was still doing season four of Sex Ed,” he added.

“I had to fight with myself – I fell in love with this show. I will miss it, but I was ready to move on,” admitted Ncuti.

Speaking of the way he usually overloads with work, he mentioned: “Because I’m hungry!” But I like everything I do, and you don’t want to stop doing things you love. ”

His busy schedule has also led the actor of roses withdrawing Eurovision earlier this year, Sophie Ellis-Bextor walking in her place.

“I retired because I was too busy. I had a lot on my plate. It was not a last minute thing – I retired weeks in advance and I don’t know why it was announced when it was.
