The federal government has decided to use data from the population census, agricultural census and economic census to assess human, agricultural and economic losses caused by recent rains and floods.
Data from the population and agriculture census will help estimate damage to households and cultures. Data on economic census will help to assess commercial and infrastructure losses while PK Press Club-brand will be used to identify the destruction of schools, colleges, mosques and shopping centers.
The Minister of Planning Ahsan Iqbal ordered the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics to start the work, with a pilot project launched in the District of Narowal, the hometown of Ahsan Iqbal.
The census of agriculture is a large -scale survey carried out by the government to collect detailed information on agricultural activities, including land use, agricultural production, livestock, irrigation methods and the number and size of farms.
