Ricky Hatton, a former world boxing champion in light weight and Welter weight divisions, has died. He was 46 years old.
Hatton was found dead in his home in Manchester, according to the Press Association. Police said that she did not deal with her death as suspect.

“Officers were called by a public member to attend Bowlacre Road, Hyde, Tameside, at 6:45 am today where they found the body of a 46 -year -old man,” the Grand Manchester police said in a statement. “There is currently no suspicious situation.”
Police did not reveal the identity of the man, but said that she was working with her family to publish a statement. However, several promotions and combatants from the world of combat sport began to release tributes to Hatton on social networks.
“Today, we have lost not only one of the greatest boxers in Great Britain, but a friend, a mentor, a warrior, Ricky Hatton,” wrote the boxer Amir Khan on X. “As a fighters, we tell ourselves that we are strong in silence, we sweat.

“Ricky, thank you for everything. For your fights, your moments of glory, your grain. Thank you for growing, for showing us what is possible. To all those who read this: if you are injured or in bad, you are not alone. Talk. Tying away. Because we need more light, more compassion, more understanding.”
Tyson Fury posted a photo of himself and Hatton together on Instagram.
“Rip with legend Ricky Hatton May Il Rip,” wrote Fury in the legend. “It will never be only 1 Ricky Hatton. I can’t believe it so young.”
Hatton predicted a return fight in Dubai in December.
He won several world titles during his career and was appointed fighter of the year in 2005 by Ring Magazine, the Boxing Writers Association of America and ESPN. He had 45-3 in his career with 32 Knockouts.
Hatton’s last professional fight took place in Manchester against Vyacheslav Senchenko in November 2012. He lost via Knockout.
Frank Warren, the former manager of Hatton, remembered the boxer as a “superbly talented fighter who inspired a generation of young boxers and fans in a way that very little had done before”.

“To make his debut (in) Widnes in 1997 and then won one of the most historic fights in the history of British boxing against Kostya Tszyu in Manchester, Ricky will rightly be one of the great modern of this sport,” he added.
“My biggest condolences go to his family at this terrible moment.”
