Sofía Vergara had to miss the biggest night on television this year due to a medical emergency.
THE Modern family Alum, 53, addressed his absence in an Instagram post, sharing photos of the hospital a day later.
“I did not arrive at the Emmys but reached the emergency room,” wrote Vergara on Monday with a carousel pole which included a close photo of his swollen left eye.
“Sorry I had to cancel! [allergy] Just before getting into the car. “”
In a video of the post, the actress could be seen lying in a hospital bed, while another filmed clip while she was rinsed with water in a hospital well.
Vergara was to be presented during the prestigious ceremony, alongside a starry program that included Elizabeth Banks, Angela Bassett, Jason Bateman, Kristen Bell, Sterling K. Brown and Tina Fey, among others.
Vergara was not the only one to have a fear of health that evening while Eric Dane, who was appointed presenter, also missed the event.
Dane, 52, has publicly fought against amyotrophic side sclerosis (SLA) and was to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Grey’s Anatomy at the ceremony.
On the other hand, Sterling K. Brown challenged expectations and attended the show despite a torn Achilles tendon.
THE Heaven The actor also went on stage with a kneeling scooter to put the price for the exceptional support actor in a comedy series to Jeff Hiller Someone somewhere.
Brown even postponed the days of surgery to come to attend the Emmys while he was nominated as an exceptional main actor in a category of dramatic series for his performance on the Hulu Heaven.
