Ayesha Gul appointed the first SSP woman in KP

Peshawar:

In a first for KHYBER-PAKHTUNKHWA (KP), a police officer was appointed to the rank of Police Principal Superintendent (SSP), said an official notification issued by the provincial police chief.

Originally from the Swabi district, Ayesha Gul belongs to the Pakistan Police Service (PSP) and previously been Additional Inspector General Services (AIG). She is currently being 18th year and has recently returned to Pakistan after taking a vocational training course abroad.

Gul was published as SSP in Peshawar, said the notification published by the Inspector General of the KP. His appointment marks an important step for the representation between the sexes in the police sector of the province, which has traditionally been dominated by men.

The KP police department described this decision as part of continuous efforts to promote inclusion and progress based on merit within force.
