Moonpay to buy the startup meso to further extend cryptography payments

The financial technology company focused on the Crypto Moonpay should acquire the MESO payment start-up.

The acquisition, reported for the first time by Bloomberg on Monday, was confirmed by Moonpay In a post on x.

No financial details of the acquisition or an estimated period has been provided.

“We are delighted to share that Moonpay has acquired Meso to help us build the largest global crypto payment network,” wrote the company.

The co-founders of Meso, Ali Aghareza and Ben Mills, formerly of Paypal and Venmo respectively, will join Moonpay as a new director of technologies and main vice-president of the product, added the company.

Moonpay considers himself an infrastructure provider for the wider crypto and web3 industry, by which other companies can connect Moonpay to their products, similar to the band in the world of traditional payments.

In a vein similar to its Méso acquisition, Moonpay acquired the cryptographic payment processor fed by Solana Helio for $ 175 million in January.
