The Congress will honor the Hockey team of the United States “Miracle on Ice” which upset the Soviet Union at the 1980 Olympic Games on their way to an improbable gold medal.
The House of Representatives adopted the “Miracle on Ice Congressional Gold Medal Act”, which will grant members of the illustrious hockey team with gold medals from the Congress. The bill will go to the office of President Donald Trump to sign.

“The” Miracle on Ice “team represents everything our country concerns: grain, determination, perseverance and hope,” said representative Tom Emmer, R-minn., Told PK Press Club Digital. “Their historical victory 45 years ago was more than a dramatic upheaval in the world of sport – it has become a decisive moment of unity in the history of our nation and inspired us all to believe in miracles.
“I can’t wait to see this bill which was promulgated by President Trump and I am grateful to my colleague, representative (Peter) Stauber, to have ensured that this team receives the recognition of the congress they deserve.”
Representative Elise Stefanik, RN.Y., also published a statement on the adoption of the law.

This legislation will guarantee that future generations will never forget the inheritance of the” miracle on ice “.” “”
On February 22, 1980, the Americans produced one of the biggest upheavals in history when the Ragtag group of hockey players for most colleges beat the Soviets 4-3.
The broadcaster Al Michaels has taken the exclamation on the match with one of the most famous calls in the history of sport.

The United States then beat Finland to win the gold medal. This is the last time the United States has won gold hockey.
