HBO Boss Casey Bloys confirmed when A knight of the seven kingdoms (Akotsk) will be published.
The second Game of Thrones (Obtained) Prequel, which was initially released in 2025, should fall at the beginning of 2026, according to an interview with Variety on the red carpet of the EMMYS 2025, where Bloys announced that Akotsk Would launch on HBO and its streaming and HBO Max sisters after the start of the year.

For those who do not know: A knight of the seven kingdoms is based on the trilogy of the new “ tales of dunk and egg ” Obtained Author George RR Martin. Fixing 90 years before Martin’s main series of main books, they follow Ser Duncan Le Tall and his squire ‘Egg’ which – Spoilers – is the future King Aegon against Targaryen. Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell should represent the characters of the HBO television adaptation. You can find out more about the rest of the series routes in the series and possible in our dedicated guide on A knight of the seven kingdoms.
Including six episodes, Akotsk should cover the events of the first novel, entitled “The Hedge Knight”. We do not know if the scenarios of the other two novels will be folded in his first season, but we could obtain a confirmation on this front once an official trailer will be published. A red summer summer is waiting for House of the Dragon
It was not the only significant update that Bloys delivered on the HBO Obtained universe. In conversation with Deadline, he also teased when Dragon HouseThe third season could be broadcast, saying: “I think it will be right outside [the 2026 Emmy eligibility window]. “”
At first glance, it may seem like a plush response. However, studios who wish to submit their programs for one or more appointments to the Emmy Primetime must meet certain criteria, in particular by publishing the said television series before May 31 of a given year.
Based on Bloys comments, this suggests Dragon House Season 3 will not be published on HBO or HBO Max, aka one of the best streaming services in the world, before June 2026. It would mark two years since the Obtained The second season of the prequel program was released and only 14 months after the start of filming in its third season.
If Dragon 3 Maison Arrives in mid-2026, it will probably be a hot red summer (or in winter, for those of you in the southern hemisphere). Indeed, after an endless ending to one of the best HBO Max shows, we are forced to discover the Targaryen civil war in the middle of a flow next season, which means that fire and blood will certainly reign.
