The Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and the Minister of Foreign Affairs (FM) ISHAQ DAR said that Pakistan is nuclear power and would defend its sovereignty at all costs if it is attacked, whatever the responsible country.
In a special interview with Al Jazeera in Doha on the sidelines of the Arab-Islamic Emergency Summit, Dar described the recent Israeli strike on Qatar as a serious action against international law, the United Nations Charter and the sovereignty of Muslim countries.
He warned that if the Muslim world is limited only to declarations, countries representing 2 billion Muslims seem to have failed in the eyes of their people.
Dar said that Israel has become an uncontrollable state that questions the sovereignty of a Muslim country after the other. “You have seen Lebanon, Syria, Iran and now Qatar.
Referring to a meeting of the Islamic Cooperation Organization of 57 members, he said that it was not the time for resolutions and declarations; A clear action plan is necessary describing what measures will be taken if Israel does not stop its attack.

He said Pakistan, with Somalia and Algeria, had immediately requested a special session of the United Nations Security Council and also mobilized the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
In the interview, Ishaq Dar said that military action was a last resort, and Pakistan priority has always been peace, dialogue and diplomacy. However, if the dialogue fails and the aggression does not stop, effective practical measures will be necessary, “which could include economic sanctions, legal action or formation of a regional security force”.
Asked about the nuclear capacity of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar said that the country’s nuclear force was purely defensive, was never used and that there was no intention to use it; But if Pakistan’s sovereignty is attacked, it will defend itself at all costs, whatever the country involved.
By comparing Israel’s strike on Qatar to American action against Bin Laden, Ishaq Dar qualified the atemnal attempt to divert attention, saying that the world knows what this operation was. He noted that Pakistan itself was the greatest victim and target of terrorism.
Ishaq Dar said cashmere is an internationally recognized dispute with UN resolutions. He described the dismissal by India of article 370 and the integration of the Indians occupied by Jammu-et-Cachemire (IIOJK) in India as a disputed reactions which violate international law.
He said that India was not allowed to withdraw from the Industry waters treaty, and if India turns water into a weapon, this would be considered an act of war. He stressed that Pakistan considers the issue as a question of national security and will not compromise.
Speaking of clashes from May 7 to 10 with India, he said that Pakistan has demonstrated clear defensive superiority, undermining India’s claim on a regional safety net.
On relations with Afghanistan, he said that links have improved, with progress on trade, agreements and rail projects, but the presence of elements such as TTP, BLA and the Mujahid brigade in Afghanistan is unacceptable.
He demanded that these activists be given to Pakistan or expelled from Afghanistan.
Ishaq Dar said that global resolutions on Palestine and Cashmere are not implemented; If the UN decisions just become paper, what remains of the credibility of the UN? He called for reforms to the Security Council and solid measures against countries that ignore his decisions.
In closing, the Minister of Foreign Affairs asked that the most urgent measure will now be an unconditional cease-fire and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid in Gaza. He said that every moment is precious and that the protection of each life must be the absolute priority.
Israel’s attack on Qatar
Hamas said six people had been killed in an Israeli strike on the group complex in Doha on Tuesday, including the son of his first negotiator and an Qatari security officer.
