- Some owners of pixels 7 and pixel 7 pro encounter battery problems
- The affected people see the batteries start to overheat and inflate
- Google offers repairs and replacements for certain people
We have already seen problems with overheating and swelling of the batteries in Google Pixel 6a, which Google has treated via a software update earlier this year, and now it seems that it is the Tour du Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro to develop the same problems.
As reported by Piunikaweb and Android Authority, there are now several online complaints on the batteries of Google Pixel 7 and the Google Pixel 7 Pro -Burgling – which affects the gearbox and points to possible overheating.
“I noticed that the side panel of the device began to separate,” wrote a user on the official help forum on the Pixel phone. “It seems that the battery is inflated, posing a significant security risk, including the potential for explosion or fire.”
So far, Google’s response to individual users does not seem to have been particularly consistent. However, some of the affected people have been offered replacements or repairs, depending on the warranty status (phones were released in October 2022).

You may remember that Google recently offered free repairs or partial reimbursements for the Google Pixel 7a handsets with similar problems – devices that have of course been launched several months after the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro.
We have directly contacted Google to see if there is an official response to the new affirmations of battery problems, but we must not yet hear. If we get a declaration from the Google team, we will include it here.
Although it is not clear exactly how many phones have these problems, a story of battery overheating problems is not an excellent look for Google – and it is likely to put some doubts in the spirit of anyone who plans to go to the new Google Pixel 10.
If you see signs of swelling of the batteries on any phone, your best and safest option is to save everything and have it replaced or replace as soon as you can, without more invoicing – contact the manufacturer or the retailer, you have obtained it for more advice.
