Tom Brady comes out of retirement – in a way.
The seven time Super Bowl champion will be among the current and former NFL players who will participate in a three -team football tournament in Saudi Arabia next March.

Brady will join Saquon Barkley, Ceedee Lamb, Christian McCaffrey, Maxx Crosby, Rob Gronkowski and others in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic on March 21 in Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. Pete Carroll, Sean Payton and Kyle Shanahan will be the coaches.
“It’s a multi -year commitment,” said Brady on Monday. “Obviously, we take a good start. The first year will be a bit where everyone’s attention and energy are. This is the first time that we have done something like that, but all the players I spoke to are delighted to play.
“Obviously, with the Olympic Games to come in 2028, I think that is the first exhibition of the NFL players, and I didn’t want to fail to be part of this.”

Fox Sports will televise the tournament and actor Kevin Hart will be the host. Brady has teamed up with Turki Alashikh, president of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority.
“I could not be more excited to go back to the field, to flow the competition juices alongside some of the brightest stars of the game and the emblematic legends, and brings a really unique global sporting event to fans around the world during the Riyadh season,” added Brady in a press release. “I have always admired the power of football flag and how it connects fans of all ages, and it is great to be able to present sport on such a global scene while bringing together so many incredibly qualified athletes.”
Gronkowski, who is an analyst on Fox Sports like Brady, said his former teammates from New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers had asked him to be part of the Football Flag event.
