Karachi:
A woman would have been stabbed to death in the name of honor by her husband and her brother, in a house in the colony of Awami in Korangi. The police arrested the accused.
The woman, identified as Zeenat, 40, wife of Ghulam Qambar Laghari, was allegedly married twice and would have had three children from her first husband. Her second husband, Laghari, with Zeenat’s brother, Mitha Khan Jamali, used a pointed instrument to stab her in the neck and various parts of her body, killing her for honor. During the notification of the incident, the police reached the place and summoned the unity of crime places to collect evidence on the scene, while the body of the deceased woman was transferred to the hospital for legal action.
The colony of Sho Awami, Khalid Memon, revealed that the police had been informed of the incident by a citizen who contacted Madadgar 15, after which the police quickly arrested the accused. In addition, Sho Memon reported that after committing the crime, the accused eliminated the murder weapon. A search for the weapon is underway, as well as additional investigations on the incident.
