The recruit of the Cubs of Chicago, Cade Horton, turned another jewel on Tuesday evening – this time, to the detriment of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The 24 -year -old right -hander lasted five rounds and gave a point on three strokes. He withdrew six pirate strikers, and the Cubs won the 4-1 match. Horton has improved at 8-1 from the stars break and has become more and more reliable that someone in Chicago can count in big games.

Horton has also accomplished an exploit not seen since the temple of renowned Bob Gibson baseball did in 1968 with the cardinals of St. Louis.
Horton being 8-1 in his last 11 departures, he only granted six points in this period. OPTA statistics noted that only Gibson had won eight or more victories and six points or less in a period of 11 start in a single season in the era of modern baseball. He did it in 1968.

Horton should not win these types of distinctions this season. In 21 departures this year, he has a 2.66 MPM with 95 stick withdrawals.
Chicago improved at 87-64 with the victory over the pirates. The Cubs have five games behind the Brewers of Milwaukee for the head of the National League and are nine games on the Padres of San Diego for first place NL Wildcard.
