The star recipient of Seattle Mariners, Cal Raleigh, has made his way in history books.

Raleigh struck his 55th and 56th circuits of the season during the 12-5 mariners’ victory against the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday at the Kauffman Stadium. Raleigh has broken the New York legend record from the Yankees Mickey Mantle for most of the Home Runs by a switch in a single season.

Raleigh, 28, also equaled the sailors of the Grand Ken Griffey Jr. for most of the circuits in a single season in the history of the franchise.

His second circuit of the match occurred in the fourth round, this time on the right side of the plate. Raleigh lacé the change of the launcher of the Royals Daniel Lynch IV on the wall of the central field to put the sailors 9-0.

“It’s really cool. I’m humiliated by that. A kind of crazy thing that I would never have thought of happening,” said Raleigh, standing in a tunnel under the Kauffman stadium after his 20th multi-homer game in career and 10th this season. “I just took it day by day, from Pitch-by-Pich. Really enjoy these guys every day, and try to finish the season in force.”
