Pakistan, Palestine to stimulate medical collaboration

Pakistan and Palestine have crossed an important measure to extend bilateral relations in the health sector by signing a memorandum of understanding in Islamabad.

The agreement was signed by the Federal Minister of Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal, on behalf of Pakistan, while the Palestinian ambassador represented his government during the ceremony.

High officials, including the Federal Health Secretary, Hamid Yaqoob, the additional secretary, and the Director General of Health, also attended the event. Their presence highlighted the importance attached by both sides to the new partnership.

According to the Ministry of National Health Services, the memorandum of understanding is designed to improve collaboration in advanced medical fields, vocational training and joint research. This decision should create long -term avenues to strengthen health systems in both countries.

Federal Minister Mustafa Kamal announced that a Pakistani-Palestine health group will be created in the next 30 days. This organization will oversee the implementation of the memorandum of understanding and ensure that the agreed initiatives are carried out effectively.

He explained that cooperation will cover a wide range of medical specialties. These include interventional cardiology, organ transplantation, orthopedic surgery, endoscopic ultrasound, burning treatment and plastic surgery.
