The head of Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, praised the strategic defense agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Thursday, saying that the agreement “marks the start of the joint defense of Islamic countries”.
Addressing a rally at the end of the Sindh peace march in Karachi, Fazl said that the new bilateral pact between Islamabad and Riyadh reflected the need for a shared security strategy.
“This defense agreement is in accordance with our ideology and our manifesto and marks the start of a common defense strategy for the Islamic world,” he said, urging Muslim states to identify and suppress obstacles to unity.
The Chief Jui-F said that the agreement should galvanize Muslim nations to resolve their differences and present a united front. “Now the two countries must move forward and lead the Islamic world in accordance with their capacity,” he said.

Fazl also hosted recent dialogues in the Arab and Islamic world, including the Doha conference, describing them as stages earlier but necessary to greater unit. “The Arab-Islamic Summit of Doha was a positive start for Islamic unit. The expectations were high, but it was a step towards the construction of an Islamic block,” he added.
Recalling his long -standing call to a united block among the Muslim states, he declared that such a unity was at the heart of the manifesto of his party. “I said a week ago during a rally in Rawalpindi that Muslim countries had to form a block. Until Muslim states stop fighting, the world will keep them moderate,” he said.
The head of Jui-F formulated his party as a voice for the wider Ummah, saying that the movement is not only for Pakistan but also for causes, especially Palestine and the quarter of Al. “JUI-F is the voice of the Ummah, Palestine and those who sacrificed for the AL quons,” he told supporters.
Turning to Palestine, he reiterated that Pakistan has long considered that the presence of Israel on Palestinian lands is illegitimate. He insisted on a strong position in support of Palestine. Any form of flexibility or compromise, he warned, would only strengthen the position of Israel.

Fazl also congratulated activists joining humanitarian convoys in Gaza, saying that he greeted the Pakistanis participating in Flotillas and swore that their efforts represented the nation. “Some of our young people have joined the flotilla in Gaza-we salute them. They represent the concern of our nation,” he said.
He praised the participation rate of the Sindh Peace and criticized the security situation in certain parts of the country. “From a end of the Sindh to the other, we have organized a peaceful walk. I want to note that there is no real peace in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa; in Balutchistan, people are picked up and forced to disappear,” he said, adding that Jui-F had raised his voice against injustices in Quetta.
He also warned against obstacles to his party’s campaign, but said their struggle would remain peaceful. “Obstacles are placed on our way, but our peaceful struggle continues. When Jeu-F gives the People, you will see how Islamabad can be occupied peacefully,” he said.
He closed by reaffirming the posture of his party on religious and national issues, claiming that JUI-F would continue to defend what he considers that of Pakistan and the interests of the Ummah.
