The former NFL secondary, Jim Fahnhorst, a member of three winning teams from the Super Bowl, during his race, with the 49ers of San Francisco, died on Wednesday. He was 66 years old.
The 49ers announced on Thursday the death of Fahnhorst, saying that the franchise had been “deeply saddened by death”.
Fahnhorst recorded 232 plated and seven interceptions in 82 games in seven seasons with the 49ers. He was in the starting training for 39 of these games.

For four seasons, Keith Fahnhorst formed a formidable duo with his younger brother, Jim. The eldest Fahnhorst was an offensive line player from the 49ers from 1974 to 1987. Keith spent 14 seasons with the 49ers.
He died in 2018. Keith was also 66 years old at the time of his death.

The Fahnhorst brothers both spent their university football days playing for Minnesota Golden Gophers. Jim was appointed to the team of the first All-Big Ten team in 1981.

He was finally selected by the Vikings of Minnesota in the fourth round of the NFL draft of 1982. He never took the ground in Vikings uniform.
He then played two years in the USFL for two teams before joining his brother and the 49ers.

In 2018, Fahnhorst thought about his move to San Francisco while the 49 -player training camp was underway, saying to the team’s official website that the decision was “evidence”.
