Windscriber has launched a new anti-deigt feature, which makes you even more difficult for snoopers to follow you online.
Available in the Chrome and Edge browser extensions of Windscriber, anti-digited training protects against the fingerprints of the browser, a technique designed to build a profile concerning you and follow you through the Internet.

Anti-deigté is the last of an impressive range of Windscriber features designed to strengthen your online confidentiality. The same extension already blocks advertisements and trackers, prevents webrtc leaks and even allows you to usurp your location, time zone and language.
This latest confidentiality feature is a welcome addition as an increasing number of websites and advertisers exceed cookies and turn to the fingerprint of the browser as a more stealthy way to follow – which, so far, has been difficult even for the best VPN services to arrest.
Footprint: Hidden Ways websites follow you online
When you visit a website, it uses JavaScript API and HTML5 features to collect information about you. This includes the device and browser you use, screen resolution, time zone, battery level, browser plugins, etc. In themselves, these details may not seem significant. Together, they create a unique fingerprint used to follow you.
Not only fingerprints allow persistent monitoring on sites, but it also allows companies to build detailed profiles for invasive targeted advertising. There is also the risk that, combined with other identification information, fingerprint data can expose users to more serious threats, including identity theft and phishing attacks.
Erase your cookies, the use of “incognito mode” or the modification of your IP address will do nothing to stop the monitoring of fingerprints. Not only is there no withdrawal option, but most browsers and VPNs do not even protect against this growing threat.

Windscribe subscribers with the latest version of the Edge and Chrome extensions can already benefit from the additional protection provided by anti-deigté. If you do not have a subscription to Windscriber yet, know that free and paid plans are available.
You will find the anti-deigté by opening the Windscribe extension in your Chrome browser, by clicking on the Hamburger menu in the upper left corner and selecting confidentiality. You can then switch the functionality as required, as well as others such as the option of simulating your GPS location.
In its official ad, the supplier suggests associating its browser extension with the VPN application for maximum protection. Indeed, “the office application protects your device and network traffic, while the extension ensures that your browser does not miss you.”
