UFC veteran, Jackson’s son Raja was arrested for the alleged brutal battery of a professional wrestler who was broadcast live.

Last month, Raja Jackson rose in the ring and Stuart Smith, a body slammale, known professionally under the name of Syko Sta, before beating the apparently unconscious wrestler at the Knokx Pro Wrestling Academy.

The assault was widely viewed online in images in difficulty on Saturday and spread on social networks.

Jackson has been reserved for crime and is currently held on a deposit of $ 50,000.

The Academy said Jackson attacked Smith in a match, leaving the normal script to commit the blows. Jackson launched at least 20 punches at the head of the apparently unconscious wrestler.

Smith suffered a “serious head trauma, … a trauma of the upper and lower jaws, a laceration with its upper lip and a fracture of the maxillary bone, which unfortunately led to the loss of several teeth”, according to a post on his Instagram.

Knokx Pro Entertainment & Academy published a declaration on his Facebook page condemning Jackson’s Act.

“What was supposed to be a place of planned and agreed struggle has been transformed into an act of selfish and irresponsible violence against Mr. Smith,” the statement said. “This blatant act is reprehensible and should never have occurred. During the 17 years of operation of the Knokx Pro Wrestling Academy, there has never been anything so odious like this and we apologize to our customers and our fans.”

Rampage Jackson said that the assault was part of a previously planned performance which “turned badly” after Smith apparently angry Raja Jackson unexpectedly struck him in the side of the head earlier in the day before the match.

“Raja was informed that he could get his” reimbursement “in the ring,” wrote Jackson. “I thought it was part of the show. It was a bad judgment, and a work that went wrong. Raja is an MMA fighter and not an professional wrestler and had no business involved in an event like this. I do not tolerate my son at all!

Rampage Jackson was the UFC heavyweight champion in 2007 and 2008, and he fought for several MMA promotions until 2019. He also worked as a professional and actor wrestler, playing in particular Baracus in the restart of the film of “The A-Team” in 2010.
