New York Jets The wide receiver Josh Reynolds was shot down to the back of the head and leg in October 2024 in what is now classified as a case of erroneous identity.
The NFL player, then a member of the Denver Broncos, was injured in a shooting on October 18, 2024, when he and two other people were slaughtered during a car prosecution by several suspects who wrongly believed that the trio was involved in a drug crook, The post denver reported, citing court documents.

The suspects wrongly identified the Reynolds group as the people involved in a previous drug agreement in which $ 250,000 in counterfeit money were used to buy cocaine. According to the judicial archives, the suspects examined the group in a strip club in Glendale at the night of the shooting before following them and shooting them during a car prosecution.

Up to four vehicles have been involved in the prosecution, the Denver Post reported.
In a statement to PK Press Club Digital at the time, Broncos Confirmed that Reynolds had been injured during a shooting.
“Josh Reynolds was the victim of a shooting on Friday in Denver and received treatment for minor injuries,” the statement said. “Out of respect for the legal process, we will postpone more comments on this issue to the authorities.”

Reynolds was shot down to the back of the head and in the left leg. A second individual was shot down, and a third was injured by broken glass, according to the report. Seven adults and a juvenile were charged during the shooting and a person remains in general.
The Denver Post reported on Friday that Burrsworth, 42, had been sentenced to 10 years in prison this week after being accused of Crime assault. He was driving one of the vehicles used during the shooting.

Reynolds, 30, finished the rest of the 2024 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars After being canceled by the Broncos that year. He signed a one -year contract of $ 5 million with jets during the offseason.
