Rory McILroy never moved away from the speeches of garbage during a Ryder Cup, and with the Bethpage Black tournament this week, he started again.

“I think the only way he attracts attention is to mention the others,” McILroy told the Guardian in an interview during the weekend. “This is essentially what I think. To attract attention, he will mention me or Scottie [Scheffler] or others. “”
