The Kansas City chiefs overcome a sloppy game to win their first victory of the season against the New York giants on Sunday evening, 22-9.
The chiefs seemed incredibly stagnated in the first half. Kansas City struggled to determine the defense of the giants and several players abandoned key passes. Everything changed in the second half while Patrick Mahomes found a rhythm and holes in the secondary of the Giants.

Mahomes found Tyquan Thornton for a touch of 5 yards in the third trimester to give the Chiefs a 10 -point cushion against the Giants. After New York reduced the seven -point deficit, Mahomes needed to play to bring Kansas City back to the board.
He found Thornton for a pass of 33 yards on the 1 yards line. Thornton made an acrobatic game, which set up the Kareem Hunt ball carrier for a touch of the goal line.
The frustrations of Travis Kelce boiled in the first half. As he left the field after a trip to the second quarter, he and Andy reid seemed to have words with each other. He refocused his efforts in the second half and had a third key catching up on the team’s touching journey in the third quarter.

Kansas City kept strong while Russell Wilson guided the team on the field at the end of the fourth quarter. The defense has sufficiently frustrated the veteran quarterrier to look like a shade of itself last week.
Mahomes finished 22 out of 37 with 224 yards with the pass and a lonely touching pass. Thornton led the chiefs with five catches for 71 yards and the score. Kelce had four catches for 26 yards.
The defense of the chiefs held Wilson at 160 yards by the pass. He was dismissed twice.
The recruit of the Giants Cam Skattebo may have been the only bright point for the Giants. He had 60 yards on the ground in 10 races and a touchdown. He also led the team with six catches for 61 yards.

Kansas City moved in 1-2 and New York fell to 0-3.
