The meteorological department said Kotri remains at an average flood level, while Guddu and Sukkur continue to undergo low level floods. Officials noted that the risk of super flood in the Sindh had now been avoided while the river flowing from Punjab fell.
As a precaution, the Sindh government had already moved thousands of residents of river areas (Katcha) to safer places.

Punjab chief minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited the areas struck by the Bahawalnagar floods on Monday to examine the ongoing rescue activities.
