The 49ers of San Francisco will be without the defensive winger Star Nick Bosa for the rest of the 2025 season after having torn his ACL during the victory of Sunday on the Cardinals of Arizona.
Bosa’s tear was clean and will require end -of -season surgery, according to ESPN. He should start a long recovery in the hope of returning at the start of the 2026 campaign.
Unfortunately for Bosa, he is no stranger to this injury. He also torn his LCA in week 2 of the 2020 season against New York jets and partially torn the ligament in high school in 2015.
The injury took place at the end of the first quarter of the victory of San Francisco 16-15 against his rival NFC West. Bosa went to the locker room with about a minute remaining in the period and did not return. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said that the initial touch tests did not indicate LCA tear, although he warned that a serious injury was possible.

“There is concern because of what he feels,” said Shanahan on Sunday evening. “They do the test and stuff on the sidelines, and they generally say if he has definitely done or not [injure his knee]And they didn’t say that. But we are concerned about this. Keep our fingers crossed for MRI. “”

The seven -year -old veteran had started the strong season, recording two bags, four plated for the loss and two escaped forced in three games.
“Each time you lose a guy like Nick and his status is unknown, it’s a real buzzkill,” said Trent Williams on the left All-Pro Trent Williams. “It’s cliché to say the next man, but when you lose a guy like that, you need three or four guys to come and fill these shoes.”
San Francisco will now turn to its depth, with the recruit Mykel Williams, Bryce Huff, Yetur Gross-Matos and Sam Okuayinonu who should intensify in the absence of Bosa.

The 49ers injury problems continue to accumulate, because the stars on the offensive side – the tight winger George Kittle and the quarter Brock Purdy – also left with their own respective ailments. However, they should not be at the end of the season like Bosa.
