Hello, Asia. Here is what is news on the markets:
Welcome to the morning briefing in Asia, a daily summary of the best stories during the hours and an overview of market movements and analyzes. For a detailed overview of the American markets, see the Americas of the Coindesk Crypto Daybook.
Korean Air has signed a research agreement with Wingbits based in Stockholm to provide ADS-B data in real time for airlines through the air traffic coordination system.
The agreement gives the R&D division of the carrier access to the coverage through the Korean fir tree of Incheon, North America and Europe while it tests how drones, freight planes and finally Evtol taxis will share a crowded sky.
Wingbits manages a decentralized ads-B secure cryptographically (real -time data for flight information) Receivers, rewarding contributors in tokens to place equipment in optimal locations.
The startup of the main one closed a round of $ 5.6 million in January, led by Bullish Capital. Bullish is the parent company of Coindesk.
“All aviation is based on these data to a certain extent, and it is a very important and profitable market,” the co-founder Robin Wingårdh told Coindesk in an interview during the Korea Blockchain Week. “It was just a little weird that all these people did it for free, while three out of four networks were acquired for hundreds of millions and nothing has returned to the community.”
Incitations, Wingårdh said, are the wing tickets separated from the rivals.
“If you encourage properly, you ask people to put receivers where they count, on a roof, in a business or even space rental in a high demand area,” he continued. “And on average, we see more than double the coverage by antenna compared to the competition, simply because the incentive is there.”
For Korean Air, collaboration concerns both the future as the present. Its R&D division is experimenting with advanced air mobility, and Wingårdh said that the demand for low latency secure data will only grow.
“Our point of view on the advanced segment of air mobility is really to come, flying taxis, flying cargo, and you will have many more objects in the sky,” he said. “We do not think that there is currently an infrastructure that can actually work as an appropriate monitoring infrastructure for this combination of aviation, advanced mobility and drones.”
The partnership of Korean Air marks the first collaboration of the airlines of Wingbits and indicates that inherited carriers see value in decentralized infrastructure.
For baths, this is a case of testing to switch from crypto-native media to traditional aviation, with the long-term bet that the data networks supported by blockchain can underline the next era of urban air mobility.
Market movements
BTC: Bitcoin is negotiated at $ 112,730. Despite the consecutive FNB entries totaling more than $ 385 million from September 18 to 19, the Bitcoin Prize was struggling to grow, reflecting wider profits and a careful feeling on the market.
ETH: Ethereum is negotiated nearly $ 4,200 and fell more strongly than Bitcoin in the short term, even if the FNB Spot ETH attracted more than $ 260 million at net entries from September 18 to 19. The withdrawal underlines how the ETH remains more sensitive to changes in feeling of risk and decline of speculative demand, although its long -term fundamental principles linked to DEFI, to jalitude and institutional adoption remain intact.
Gold: Gold continues to exchange records, supported by the expectations of new drops in the American federal reserve, the central bank’s demand, inflation problems and geopolitical risk.
S&P 500: US stock contracts were placed on Monday evening, Dow and S&P 500 contracts each sliding 0.04% while investors were risking high records.
