- DIGICERT ONE now includes authentication technology by E-mail from Valimail to Valimail
- Bimi logos and verified brand certificates could soon become more widespread
- Human error remains a main factor allowing the continuous global success of phishing
Email remains one of the most exploited channels for cybercrime, phishing and the usurpation of usurium to target individuals and organizations around the world.
In order to strengthen protections against these evolving threats, Digicicert has announced its acquisition of Valimail.
This acquisition extends DIGICERT one with Valimail e-mail authentication to improve e-mail safety against global threats of phishing and usurpation.
Extension of the digital digital trust platform
“Our strategy has always been to expand the capacities of our platform with technologies that resolve emerging threats to customers, and we believe that e-mail authentication is the next logical step for Digicerlet One,” said Amit Sinha, CEO of Digicerlet.
Valimail, recognized for its patented DMARC solutions and its Fedramp authorization, already protects companies, government agencies and world brands.
The company has built its reputation as a leader in the DMARC application, an essential area to authenticate legitimate sender and block usurped messages.
“Our mission has always been to authenticate the communications of the world, starting with emails. Combining Digicerlet helps accelerate our joint global mission …”, said Alex Garcia-Tobar, CEO of Valimail.
The integration of Digicent of Valimail capacities aims to unify the defenses between websites, devices, software and now emails.
Its addition to Digicerlet creates large -scale DMARC deployment opportunities thanks to messaging accommodation services and secure messaging provider platforms.
This acquisition shows the ambition of Digicent to seize a share of the DMARC market of $ 4 billion +, while aimed at providing unified digital confidence to customers.
“As a growth company, we are delighted to work closely with Amit and its management team to seize a larger share of the opportunity of $ 4 billion + before us,” added Garcia-Tobar.
Although the partnership can make bimi logos and brand certificates verified more widespread in the reception boxes, the attackers are known to adjust their methods.
Temporary email services, for example, continue to be used for malicious activity, which raises doubts as to whether technological improvements in themselves can dissuade sophisticated campaigns.
Phishing remains the main cyber-man due to a human error and an inconsistent adoption of security standards.
Even with advanced authentication tools, attackers often use neglected gaps or delayed implementation within organizations.
For Digicect and Valimail, success will depend not only on technology, but also to know if companies fully adopt these solutions and educate users on the evolution of threats.
Movement strengthens the position of Digicent, but it does not guarantee a rapid drop in phishing or usurpation incidents.
