Hoda Kotb recently revealed that her eight -year -old daughter Haley Joy had discovered her breast cancer battle while reading her book.
On the episode of Jenna Bush Hager Tuesday September 23 Open book Podcast, the 61 -year -old American broadcasting journalist, the personality of television and the author admitted that her relationship with her daughters had changed since she left NBC Morning Show Today.
Kotb, Haley’s mother and Hope Catherine, six, shared how Haley got to know a great chapter in her life.
Remembering me, she said, “I saw Haley read my book, and there are probably a lot in there that she does not know. She said, “Did you have breast cancer?! I say to myself: “Oh my God!
Although he was shocked by Haley’s discovery, Kotb felt happy to engage in more significant conversations with the two girls in recent months.
“The fact is that I think we know each other like people, humans. Not just mom or, you know, or kid,” she noted.
For those who do not know, the mother of two was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 and to treat it, she underwent a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery in March 2007. Since the end of her treatment, she lived without cancer.
