Rawalpindi:
The security forces killed 13 terrorists involved in many activities, in particular by facilitating a bombardment of suicide, abductions and the targeted murder of government officials and civilians, during an intelligence -based operation at Dera Ismail Khan, the media statement said in a statement.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces have launched an operation based on information on the presence of terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy group ‘Fitna al Khwarij’, in the District of Dera Ismail Khan, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa district.
During the operation, the troops killed 13 terrorists sponsored by India and seized weapons and ammunition. The ISPR said the terrorists, killed in the operation, were involved in activities such as the facilitation of a suicide attack in Daraban in December 2023, the abduction and the target murder of government officials and innocent civilians.
The press release added that an operation was underway to clean the remaining terrorist area, reaffirming that Pakistan’s security forces remain determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism supported by India in the country.
PM, the president starts the security forces again
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for the operation at Dera Ismail Khan. “The terrorists who made the suicide attack in Daraban in December 2023, causing damage to innocent civilians, were successfully sent to this recent operation,” he said in a statement.
He congratulated military and security forces for their professionalism, saying that they remained at the heart of the Pakistan terrorism campaign. “Thanks to the professional skills of the Pakistani army and the security forces, we will uproot the country’s terrorism monster,” said the Prime Minister.
He added that all state institutions were fully mobilized to ensure the elimination of activism. “All government institutions are fully active for the complete eradication of country terrorism,” he concluded.
President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated the nation and the security forces for a successful operation against the terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan. In his statement, he welcomed the bravery of the soldiers and their role in national security. “The courage and sacrifices of our soldiers make every citizen of the country safe,” said President Zardari.
He said the fight against terrorism was essential to ensure the future of Pakistan. “This fight against terrorism is the guarantee of the peaceful future of Pakistan,” he said.
Zardari added that the sacrifices made to maintain state authority would remain in history. “Each sacrifice made to establish the brief of the state will be written in golden words in history,” he said.
“The inhabitants of Pakistan have always resisted their martyrs and Ghazis and have rejected terrorism,” he said. “Knowing the young generation of extremism is our collective responsibility,” he concluded.
Shehbaz warns Kabul
Pakistan has continued to deal with the infiltration of terrorists in the border areas of Afghanistan. Last week, Prime Minister Shehbaz categorically warned Kabul to make a clear choice between Pakistan and Khawarij, saying that Afghanistan could not host destabilizing activists from his neighbor while waiting for normal ties to Islamabad.
“Pakistan will deliver a response to terrorism,” he said, stressing that “there will be no ambiguity or hesitation.” He said that brains and facilitators of terrorist attacks in Pakistan operating from Afghan soil with Indian support.

“Afghanistan has been categorically said that it should choose between Islamabad and Khawarij,” he added. The PM noted that Afghan nationals had been involved in recent attacks after infiltrated through the border, stressing the urgency of the repatriation of undocumented Afghan residents.
Rejecting what he called the politicization of terrorism, Shehbaz warned that “those who defend the Khawarij or facilitate terrorist attorney from India act as their agents and will be treated accordingly.”
The statement reached after 19 soldiers were martyred and 45 terrorists linked to the Fitna Al Khwarij network sponsored by the Indians were killed in three separate intelligence operations carried out in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa between September 10 and 13.
