Rawalpindi:
After a successful treatment at the Mayore Mayore hospital, Rawalpindi residents will soon benefit from free and advanced treatment for fatal cancers, with the installation of a cutting -edge cryoablation machine in the largest medical establishment in the city, Holy Family Hospital (HFH).
In accordance with the directives of the Punjab health service, the hospital administration has already submitted an official requisition for equipment.
According to information, after the successful treatment of five patients at Mayo Hospital, Lahore using the first cryoablation machine – imported from China on the instructions of the chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, the provincial government has decided to extend this installation to the main divisional hospitals of the province.
Consequently, the provincial health service called HFH, Rawalpindi, to officially request the installation of the machine.
HFH’s medical superintendent, Dr. Ejaz Butt, said the requisition was duly transmitted to the health service. On delivery, the machine will be installed in the hospital’s radiology department, where space has already been reserved.
“We have both technical staff and highly qualified doctors necessary to operate the cryoablation machine. We aim to ensure that it is fully functional in a year, allowing us to start the free treatment of cancer without delay,” said Dr. Butt.
The cryoablation machine is particularly effective for cancers where surgery is not necessary. He is able to treat the tumors of kidneys, lungs, breast, liver, bladder and various other parts of the human body with remarkable precision.
Dr. Butt also explained that once the machine becomes operational at HFH, cancer patients will be officially recorded and treated in accordance with a structured schedule.
He pointed out that the director general of the province has shown exceptional provident by buying these advanced machines from China, allowing cancer patients in Punjab to access a rescue treatment free of charge.
