Bill Ferrario Dead: the ex-Packers line player dies “unexpectedly”

Bill Ferrario, a former NFL offensive line player who distinguished himself for Wisconsin badgers, has died, according to an online BTR. He was 47 years old.

Ferrario died “unexpectedly” on Wednesday, according to the Times-Dutch of Scranton, Pennsylvania, where Ferrario was born. His death occurred two days after his birthday.

Green Bay Packers selected Ferrario in the fourth round of the 2001 draft. He played 16 games for packers in 2002, but was canceled before the start of the 2003 season.

He tried to make the Redskins of Washington and the Panthers of Caroline, but he never stayed on their lists for a long time.

Ferrario was part of the offensive line of the badgers which blocked for the legendary ball carrier Ron Dayne. The former Wisconsin star won the 1999 Heisman trophy while badgers appeared in the Bowl Rose Games in 1998 and 1999.

Ferrario’s Billology appeared on Thursday in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

“My heart is broken. I have known Billy since the fourth year, and he had a pure heart of gold and was a trustworthy friend,” the longtime friend of Ferrario, Jason Waibel, Times-Tribune told. “He was going perfectly to help you. He always made you feel important, even when everyone just wanted to make him feel important. I couldn’t ask for a best friend.

“He carried the values ​​of his time noted on the west side through his life. He was the quintessence of hard work, loyalty, and especially of those of us who are West Siders. He made everyone around him a better person. I will miss me terribly.”
