Cloud listed in the United States Cloudflare (NET) has announced its intention to install a stablecoin in an American dollar for what it calls the “agent web”, where autonomous AI agents perform tasks such as flight booking or grocery command.
The company said Thursday that the token, nicknamed Net Dollar, will allow instant and secure transactions for software, developers and creators. Cloudflare has supervised the initiative as a distance from the advertising economy that has defined the Internet for decades.
“The next Internet business model will be propelled by use by use, fractional payments and microtransactions – tools that transfer incentives to original creative content that really adds value,” said Matthew Prince, co -founder and CEO of Cloudflare, in a press release.
“Using our global network, we will help modernize the financial rails necessary to move money at Internet speed, helping to create a more open and more precious internet for everyone,” he added.
The firm said that ITIs also contributing to standards such as agents’ payment protocol and the X402, which aim to make payments and receive online payments.
With this decision, Cloudflare aims to join a list of fintechs and payment companies that have ventured into the trend of red stablecoin that shakes cross -border payments. These cryptocurrencies, with prices related to money made like the US dollar, offer a cheaper and faster alternative to traditional payment rails using blockchains for the regulations.
