Govt Resilience of drafts for disasters

Islamabad:

The federal government began to shape a new national resilience 2025-26 plan to better prepare Pakistan for the next Mousson season, aimed at reducing destruction caused by floods and other natural disasters.

“The national resilience plan must be focused on results, with clear strategies to reduce losses resulting from these calamities – whether in terms of human life, infrastructure, cultures or livestock,” said Dr. Malik.

Officials claim that the upcoming plan is trying to avoid repetition by identifying high -risk areas, integrating dispersed response systems and guaranteeing faster and more coordinated rescue operations.

Dr. Malik also recognized the weaknesses in the current system, the fragmented appellant. “This requires integration into a unique and rationalized framework that is fast, coordinated and effective,” he said, reaffirming government’s commitment to work closely with NDMA and other stakeholders.
