Peacemaker Episode 6 of season 2 is now available – and that has finally revealed a major turn at the center of the intrigue of this season.
After a few epinning episodes its narrative wheels, the last chapter of the HBO Max Show, entitled “Ignorance is Chris”, raises the cover on what Earth-2, alias the alternative reality that Chris Smith continues to visit, is really. And, this confirms a theory of major fans that something was not just in this parallel world.
I cannot insist enough: Complete spoilers immediately follow for Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 6. Now go back if you haven’t seen it yet.
Earth-X explained: What is the parallel universe in season 2 Peacemaker?
For weeks, fans have been convinced that Terre-2 is the taking of DC Universe (DCU) on Earth-X (more on this subject later). Indeed, it is a theory of fans that has been circulating online since Peacemaker Season 2 episode 3 fell.
It turns out that viewers who have prescribed this theory have been proven. In the last minutes of “ `ign is Chris ”, the Emilia Harcourt de la Dcu, who went to Earth-2 with the rest of the children in the 11th street to convince Chris Smith to return to Earth-1 with them, asks Chris if he noticed something unusual on Terre-2.
Confuse, he asks “like what?”, What Harcourt replies that she did not see a single person of color in the short time she was in this dimension. It is something that Harcourt initially resumes when led to Argus by Chris’s brother, Keith, who assumes that she is the Earth-2 version of Harcourt.
Anyway, while the pair is preparing to leave the Argus version of Earth-2, Chris sees what seems to be a miniature flag of the United States of America on the desk of an employee. Picking it up and deploying it, he surprised that the emblematic white stars of the flag are not present on the said flag and, in their place, is a white swastika.
While this scenario is played in Argus, another Peacemaker The character also teaches Terre-2 full of white supremacists.
Leota Adebayo, the only non -white member of children in the 11th street, decides to walk while she and John Economos are waiting for Chris, Harcourt and Vigilante to come back from their various escapades. Stilling a resident passing in front of her, Adebayo is confused that the woman looks at her with horror.
A few moments later, the aforementioned woman stops, runs towards a neighbor and begins furiously by pointing Adebayo. At the same time, Keith passes in front of his truck and slams on the brakes because he also sees Adebayo. Diving out of his vehicle, he shouts “one came out! [woman]! “.
Naturally, the perplexity of Adebayo suddenly turns into fear while a group of whites of white people who are lacking from their home and towards it. Shouting “What is the F ***!?”, Adebayo begins to run in the street, the crowd bathing in pursuit.
The fascist Earth -2 is not a new idea that the co -chief of the studios of DC James Gunn – he is the creator, editor -in -chief and occasional director of the television program of the DCU chapter – was either. As I mentioned earlier, Terre-2 is essentially a live iteration of land-X.
For those who do not know this alternative reality: in DC Comics, Earth-X is a parallel world where Nazi Germany won the Second World War. Appearing for the first time in “Justice League of America # 107” in October 1973, he revealed that the Second World War lasted almost 30 years before the third Reich took over almost total control of the planet Earth.
Without entering into the complexities of the history of DC’s comic strip, part of the Terre-X merged with Earth-One, Earth-Two, Earth-Four and Earth-S during the culmination of the Crisis scenario on the infinite lands which took place from May 1985 to April 1986. Just like the two comic series of Marvel de Marvel, which allowed various universities to re-use to DC.
Of course, that raises the question: will we see a similar event playing in one of the best second season sites of HBO Max shows? After all, the DCU has already started to undergo itself with the multiverse through Peacemaker And Gunn Superman movie.
That said, I think it is more likely that our heroes are continuing and permanently seal this parallel world, or will completely destroy it using the interdimensional portal which is in possession of the children of the 11th street. With only two additional chapters to go, it will not take long before discovering the option they will choose.
