King Charles published a new message before the final of the Rugby World Cup for Saturday women between England and Canada.
Palace, on behalf of King Charles, shared the monarch’s message on social networks.
The declaration was published with the legend: “A message from His Majesty the King to Red Roses Rugby and Rugby Canada Womens XV after the # RWC2025 final.”
King Charles says: “My wife and I send our good best wishes to the Red Red Rose Roses Rugby team and Canada in England while you are preparing for your World Cup final.”
He added: “What a remarkable achievement for the two teams to have reached this pinnacle of sport. I know that the supporters on both sides of the Atlantic will applaud with an equal and enormous pride.”
King Charles also speaks of “sporting spirit, determination and the real grain” in his message.
“May the best team win, and both play with the spirit of the sporting spirit, determination and the real grain that makes rugby a game so wonderful to watch,” said the press release.
“Whatever the result, you have already made your country proud. Good luck to you all,” concluded King Charles.
King Charles’ message comes in the midst of the assertions that the monarch and Prince William held an unforeseen crucial meeting in Balmoral.
