Jon Rahm continued his exceptional game for Team Europe during the Ryder Cup 2025 with Black Bethpage on Saturday.

Rahm won his two games to help provide two of the 5 ½ points that Europe obtained on Friday. On Saturday, Rahm had more magic in store on the eighth hole in the morning session.

Rahm’s partner, Tyrrell Hatton, struck his tee shot on the eighth hole in large green and right on the edge of the bunker. The ball was integrated into the rough, and Rahm had to stand well below the ball in a bunker.

Rahm dug the ball beautifully when he landed when green began and rolled directly in the hole for a miracle birdie. Rahm knew it was right away when he left the bunker and pointed in celebration before the ball falls into the hole.

Xander Schauffele of Team USA had the chance to respond to Rahm’s sensational shot with a chip. Schauffele’s teammate Patrick Cantlay also struck a capricious tee shot that left Schauffele in Rough.

Schauffele almost equaled Rahm when he failed to rejoice for Birdie, but finally, Team USA lost this hole, and Team Europe left the eighth hole in the match.

Rahm’s shooting was particularly overwhelming for the United States team because Cantlay and Schauffele had just equalized the match after winning the fifth and seventh holes. Rahm and Hatton won the first two holes and took a quick lead to start the second day of action.

Rahm’s fantastic shot has suppressed all momentum, Schauffele and Cantlay had built. When writing these lines, Rahm and Hatton remain one through 11 holes.
