US companies to invest in the IT Pakistan IT sectors, Energy, says Prime Minister Shehbaz after meeting Trump

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that US President Donald Trump had ordered US companies to invest in the key Pakistan sectors, including information technologies, energy, agriculture and minerals.

Addressing New Jersey’s media, the Prime Minister described his meeting with President Trump as “very useful and important” to improve Pakistan relations with the United States. He noted that President Trump expressed his desire for peace and played a laudable role in the creation of a ceasefire between Pakistan and India.

Shehbaz Sharif argued that Pakistan and the United States give a new dimension to their business and economic ties.

During the meeting, discussions also covered justice for mineral resources and mutually beneficial trade agreements.

Stressing the economic progress of Pakistan, the Prime Minister said that inflation had been brought back to a figure in just 18 months. He also underlined the regular improvement in relations with Bangladesh, the positive developments occurring on trade and diplomatic fronts.

Answering a question, Shehbaz Sharif described the warm welcome he received in Saudi Arabia as “ unprecedented in 40 years ” and congratulated the Chief of Staff of the Asim Army Mnir for having managed the Pakistani army with wisdom and strategy, affirming that, under its direction, India was “ defeated ”.

In addition, a press release from the Prime Minister’s office said that the meeting between President Trump and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also focused on regional security, the fight against terrorism and intelligence -based cooperation.

The Prime Minister underlined the need to improve cooperation in the security sector, said President Trump for the Pakistani-American trade agreement and invited him to visit Pakistan.

The official declaration added that the Prime Minister offered investment opportunities to American companies in the agriculture, IT, mineral and energy sectors and expressed his hope that, as part of the bilateral relations of the management of President Trump, would become stronger and more sustainable.
